It's all starts with two ladies purses. They looked so much alike. They get mixed up while two women are sitting on a couch in the casino at Monte Carlo. Both purses were small and black, just big enough for lipstick, a handkerchief, and a little cash. Plus a coded message in one of them! One purse belonged to a young, English nursery-governess named Veronica Steyning until recently working in Nice, and the other to a mysterious Spanish-looking woman. The mix-up is only the beginning. Enough said.
