Mario Drake is a hot-shot real estate agent who thinks he’s God’s gift to the world. He’s arrogant, rude, greedy, and insults anyone in his path just for fun, and that’s when he’s being nice.
Climbing into his very expensive sports car, he drives out to the town of North Point as he is planning to look at some acreage so he can potentially develop a subdivision. If all goes as planned, he is hoping to help city dwellers from Madisonville find affordable housing only a short drive away, and he intends to make a killing from his generosity.
Upon arrival, he meets Winona, the local real estate agent who listed the property, and she drives him out to see it; and all the way there, he runs his mouth, acting like a pompous ass. Arriving at the site, she explains the lay of the land and says a portion of it is considered sacred by the local native people and says that if he buys it, he should not build on that section as it would be disrespectful and could result in bad fortune for him.
As she walks away to take a phone call, Mario stands there in the middle of the plain surveying his surroundings and then says out loud that if he buys it, he will do anything he wants with every bit of it, and nothing can stop him. No sooner does he finish speaking when the spirit overseeing the land decides to show Mario who is the boss and transforms him into a member of the fairer sex, significantly delaying his, now her plans to build a new housing development.
