A bank heist goes wrong when one of the hostages turns out to be a wanted serial killer.

Pat Caine is a locally famous retired bank robber. He has come out of retirement to do one last job with a haphazard gang of regulars from the local pub and a delinquent youth from his tower block.

The plan is simple. No high-concept heist garbage. This isn't Ocean's Eleven. Go in, wave a gun around, get the money, and leave. Quick and easy. In and out.

The cashier recognises Pat Caine. She's read his book. Knows he believes in a victimless crime. She calls his bluff and presses the alarm.

They are forced to take hostages. If they thought things had gone bad at this point, they were about to get worse.

One of the hostages is Nick Priest, known by the papers as, The Mask Collector. He is loose in the bank and wearing the face of one of Pat Caine's gang.
