This is a sequel to Death and Cinderella and features Jane Herring, the feisty young actress and dancer who played the lead in the Regent Players’ Christmas panto. I don’t normally write sequels, but Jane, with her complex character and somewhat louche lifestyle (louche for the 1920s anyway) rather appealed to me and I decided to give her another story. It is one of my “thriller-mysteries,” with a bit more action and suspense. Here, then, is Wedded to Death , set this time, not in the world of the theatre but, as Londoner Jane would call it, “darkest Sussex.”
