A journalist for an agricultural magazine, Luca is visiting her family's farm to write an article on sustainable farming. But her family farm needs their pollinators in tip-top shape. Willow doesn't trust anyone else to give them the perfect care. Luca wasn't planning to stay, but when he learns how critical bees are and sees Willow without a bee suit on, covered in her favorite friends, he discovers something magical. Willow brings buzzing happiness into his stagnant world of lengthy, fast-paced trips to remote places. If only he could get over his fear of insects.

When Luca's interview is done, he has to leave to meet another deadline. With his truck still broken and stuck at the sisters' farmhouse, he'll have to return to pick it up later, giving Willow another chance to get to know him. But Luca isn't coming back for the truck. He's bonded with her in their days together and has a special request, one that will give her the opportunity to have what she's always dreamed of.

Yet Luca has his own interesting story, one Willow begs to hear. When she finally gets the truth out of him about the broken relationship with the brother he hasn't talked to in nearly a decade, and the farm he loved and left behind, she wants to help.
