Following the suspicious death of her twin brother Jo left behind her hometown of Northampton and the painful memories that it holds. Now fifteen years later and recently divorced she returns to be closer to her ailing mother.

Jo meets up with an old school friend, Karen, who is now a successful businesswoman. Through Karen she is introduced to Jill, a single mum and dinner lady. On a night out they get talking to Paul, Oliver, Ian and Terry. Soon they are socialising as a group.

As Jo starts to settle into life back home and begins a relationship with Paul, things take a turn for the worse. A series of events brings back her past leading to nagging doubts resurfacing.
