When Helen O'Connor's long-term tenant retired, she decided to rent his office space out as a store.

Kevin Rodgers was getting bored. Nobody in Seascape Cove was smuggling drugs or doing anything illegal that required his eagle-eyed attention. He was keeping company with Helen now, and saw the retail space as an opportunity for them both to clean house, get rid of the ‘treasures’ left by Helen’s grandmother and the former owners of his Gingerbread Victorian home and make a little money. Helen’s Curios soon became a popular place to browse for the tourists and residents of the small seaside town alike.

When they sold off some of their clutter, started to buy new stock, and the success of the little shop please them both. It made some money, and it kept Kevin busy and out of trouble.

Maybe it became too successful, because when Helen decided to specialize in Chinoiserie, Kevin soon became embroiled in a ton of Chinfoolery.

Well, what else would you call faked or stolen Chinese artifacts? Take those incense burners for example....

But some of the new stock was real, and really valuable.

So valuable it attracted the attention of some very dishonest big city dealers, and Kevin might have more on his mind than simply Chinoiserie!

He might, once again, have to call on Police Chief Trent Marlow for some assistance....
