"Criminally Funny Books for the Soul!" Join Tinman and his lovable gang of crooks, as they tackle impossible heists with hilarious results.
Still recovering from the trauma over the "abominable basket burglary" in Posse of Thieves, Tinman and his crew have their sights set on a collection of rare coins. It's a score that could set them all for life. But to pull off the heist, they first have to deal with Burners, Clampers, the FBI, and—parents?
Chaos ensues, absurdity abounds, and the laughs roll on as the Tinman comedy caper saga continues!
The Tinman Series is guaranteed chock full of mystery, crime, action, and plenty of fun. Long Live Laughter!
Inspired by Donald Westlake's Dortmunder Series, the Tinman Series continues the tradition by bringing a little comedy back to crime. After all, just because someone's a thief doesn't necessarily make them a thug. At least that's Tinman and the Posse's motto. After all, they don't want to hurt anyone. They're just in it for the money!
The Characters: Tinman: De facto leader of the Posse, he is stuck in a seemingly never-ending mid-life crisis. His career as a high-stakes pool hustler has tanked, leaving him with no alternative but to turn to a life of crime. As an inveterate hypochondriac and pessimist, he is convinced if something can go wrong, it will. And so it usually does.
Peach: Polar opposite of his fraternal twin brother, Tinman, he is optimistic to a fault, happy-go-lucky, and fun-loving. Originally a stickup man, he has evolved into a top-notch safecracker and cat burglar—and he really, really loves his job. A bona fide babe magnet, he can steal the hearts of women as effortlessly as he can relieve them of their jewelry.
Catfish: Eldest of the Posse, he is an elite con artist who fell from grace when the Big Con faded. He helped raise Tinman and Peach, and is the sage of the gang, making sure everyone follows correct thief etiquette.
Bones: He is one of the few remaining master pickpockets, capable of turning bodily theft into an art form (except when his arthritis is acting up). He also helped raise Tinman and Peach, and as their adopted uncle, he makes sure the brothers are true to their thieves blood, and always take the crooked path.
Dez: A lifelong, professional poker player, she prides herself in taking no prisoners. She was a bombshell as a young woman, and even now as a septuagenarian, she has the kind of lure that can drive most happily married men to infidelity. Honesty is not her strong suit, so it's always best to assume she has an ace up every sleeve.
Tek: Youngest member of the Posse, he is a computer whiz with a taste for crime. Despite being cheeky and often rash, he has endeared himself to his mentors, and brings a high-tech advantage to many of their capers. Secretly, Tinman considers him to be his adopted son.
