Egypt, 1939

When John Warrey agrees to act as navigator for a trans-Saharan expedition led by the famous photographer Margo Cartwright, he has no idea what he is getting himself into.

What begins an exotic adventure quickly turns into a grim battle for survival.

The Italian Colonel Umberto comes to the rescue just in time, but their safety is jeopardised once more by the discovery that Margo is in fact a British secret agent.
