Forgotten Dragon tells the story of a man placed in the middle of a bloody conflict between siblings. A conflict that will ultimately lead him to turn his back on the country he loves and look instead to a distant land far to the west, known only in Norse legend and myth.

The year is 1170 and the death of a great prince leaves a power vacuum in the North Wales kingdom of Gwynedd. Prince Madog, who wishes to see his dying father’s wishes honored, unearths a sinister plot.
As Madog strives to see justice done, he must prevail over treachery and duplicity from those nearest to him, outwit dangerous mercenaries, survive perilous seas, and overcome the interference of powerful Norman Earls.

The story wends its way through the rugged mountainous terrain of Snowdonia, navigates the treacherous Menai Straits, before sailing across the Irish Sea to the Norse city of Dublin, itself wracked in conflict, and striving to remain free of expanding Norman influence. It reaches its dramatic climax on the Isle of Anglesey, the ancient Druidic capital of Wales.

The first novel in the Madog Trilogy, Forgotten Dragon is a lusty tale, rich with colorful characters, humor and bawdy adventure.
