Star Force, founded by the discovery of ancient alien technology buried under the ice of Antarctica, is a double-edged sword.

The visible outer blade is the civilian side, a massive independent corporation dedicated to facilitating the colonization of space for all of Earth, building new starships, spaceports, and offering up a 'buy or lease' business platform to get Humans into space as fast as possible. Its envious technology is the bane of every government on Earth, but if they don't use Star Force's services and technology, they get left behind in the mad rush to colonize the Solar System.

The inner hidden blade is the secret military Star Force is building to defend the planet, because with the find in Antarctica came a database, not just of technology and maps, but of history. We find out that Earth is an abandoned colony of a galactic empire called the V'kit'no'sat that suffered a rebellion some 100,000 years ago that caused it to contract towards the galactic core. Many planets like Earth were abandoned, but for some reason a few of their genetically enhanced slaves were left behind here in error.

Those slaves were our early ancestors, and while most of the superhuman powers have gone dormant through the generations, we still hold that genetic code inside us...along with the death sentence for any unauthorized reproduction. So if the V'kit'no'sat ever decide to expand their Empire again, and return to the abandoned rimward colonies, they'll find us here and exterminate us all...
