I chase our startled rooster, but he is on a route to enter the Black Wood. God knows what monsters lurk there. The bird reroutes to lead me out of the gate and upon a loud ruckus stirring across my small forest neighborhood. Salem, Massachusetts has always been an eerily quiet place to live. An angry mob drags someone out and claim him to be a witch, Ambrose, the boy I knew growing up.

He falls into the snow fatally wounded by silver and begs me to take him to the wood. I don't want to take him there to bury him, but he insists for me to hurry. His wounds heal to scars, things that should not be able to be recovered from. Now the town is on a witch-hunt and I am confronted with how my childhood friend is an actual witch. Poor Ambrose is far too beautiful. I have to help hide him from all of Salem as he regains his strength without being far from the wood.
