Killing Kraken: A Magical Mystery (Getz Parker Magical Mysteries Book 4)

Ian Domowitz
4.21/5 (8 ratings)
My name is Getz Parker, and I’m here to tell you elections can be murder.

I was seduced into the Kraken campaign for President before the bodies began to drop around him. I say that in defense of allegations I didn’t know what I was doing or listened to the wrong people in a weakened state of mind. In every case, he could have killed the victim. In every case, he may have been the target. In every case, he might have been framed for murder.

What the cops didn’t know was that ambition, greed, and jealousy were secondary to possession of an artifact endowing its owner with the potential of alchemical perfection, the Philosopher’s Stone. What I didn’t know was how power suborns politics and ideology fails in the face of personal privilege. When Kraken’s followers figured it out, it was murder regardless of who did it.

I call it, tyrannicide without the tyrant. My artificially intelligent nursemaid tends to the literal and calls it Killing Kraken, because that’s what it was all about anyway. You decide.
