What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word homeschooling? Do you think of strange and awkward hermit children who cannot socialize with others? Do you think of a hyper religious cult bent on morphing children into their desired clones with no independent thoughts? Well me too....at least I used to think that. But I have been introduced to a whole new world full of families who decided to reclaim their parental rights with their own children and dare to do things differently. I want to introduce you to my personal journey with homeschooling and all the trials, tricks and truths I have learned through all these years. Homeschooling is not just now a life choice of ours, but it IS our life. We are a homeschooling family. It defines who we are as a family, and defines our home. It has put a focal point, beacon of light, onto what the most important thing in the world to us is next to our faith, our family. You can always make more money, you can always buy bigger and better things, but you cannot make or buy anymore time, therefore it is our most priceless possession, do not waste it, nor take it for granted. We do not know how long we have, so pray more, hug your family more, kiss your husband or wife more, and keep your eyes on God.
