From the author of Can you come back next week and I got some in. Sam goes back to his childhood to take us on a journey filled with laughter and tears. "I wonder how many people remember their childhood. I mean, really remember. I suppose it depends on whether it was a happy or miserable time! We all like to think we do. In writing about these memories which took place over fifty years ago I've had to delve deep into the recesses of my mind to conjure up what, to me, were happy childhood days (the mind has its own way of closing off the bad times) despite the fact that six years of them were tainted by the Second Great War that was never supposed to happen again. In recalling these memories I hope to take you through many happy and, sometimes, sad times and perhaps stir some thoughts which will recapture some of your own childhood days!"
