Trudy Wilson had just finished taking her midterms and was now free from school until the second week of January! She had plans to catch up on her sleep and enjoy the Christmas break. When she arrived home, she discovered that her mother had a bad case of the flu and her employer had threatened to terminate her employment if she didn't come to work the next day.

Her mother works for an elite lady in the community, Mrs. Lincoln, who has enjoyed privilege and wealth all of her life and has no patience for anyone that doesn't measure up to her standards! Trudy volunteers to go to work the following morning so her mother can stay home and rest. When she makes her appearance in front of Mrs. Lincoln, the lady is having none of it. Trudy's quick thinking convinces Mrs. Lincoln that due to the holidays, the likelihood of her hiring anyone else are slim to none. After thinking it over, Mrs. Lincoln thinks Trudy may be right and agrees to let her stay and work in her mother's place.

When Trudy is on her way upstairs to see Mrs. Lincoln, there is a knock on the front door and in walks the most handsome gentleman she has ever seen. After a few moments, Trudy discovers that the handsome gentleman is the son of Mrs. Lincoln. What Trudy doesn't realize is that Donald Lincoln has an immediate attraction to Trudy's beauty and feisty personality as he follows her up the stairs to visit his mother.

Will a romance develop between the poor and the rich? Anything is possible at Christmas time!
