"If you're going to kiss a rake, it’s going to be me." - Harlow
Lady Jocelyn can only gape in shock when her brother's best friend steals her away to the garden with a growl. Only a rake would think that kissing her was a logical solution to the problem she’d proposed.
Then again, it's possible she shouldn't have told him that she wished for one act of rebellion before marrying a perfectly proper gentleman. To be fair, she hadn't expected Harlow to propose…Er, propose a kiss that is.
No one expects Harlow to marry. Not ever. And certainly not her. Right? Her future is already planned, and there's no room for charming rogues who make her belly flutter and her heart race.
The problem? The kiss does NOT satiate her curiosity, it only raises more questions. For example, why does he make her heart go wild in her chest? Would any rake make her feel that way or only him?
Because now that she's tasted his kiss, will any other man do?
And if not, is there any part of Harlow that wants her in return?
